What to Expect
The Care Your Body Deserves

FIRST VISIT
Our first visit is scheduled for about an hour long. During that time, we will take a thorough history, Use a Thermography Scan and an orthopedic examination, eliminate old injury patterns with IRT (Injury Recall Technique), and do musculoskeletal work!
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH VISIT.
We use a neurological system of analysis each visit with Applied Kinesiology. We use your body's natural response (think of that knee reflex) to help determine muscular imbalances. Our doctors use a wide range of techniques that will help facilitate your health such as: Muscle/Gait work, Trigger point work, Neuroemotional Technique, Injury Recall Technique, the Lebowitz protocol and much more!

STYLE OF ADJUSTING
In our office, we use manual adjusting, such as Full Spine/Gonstead to adjust the spine and extremities (arms and legs). Our rooms are equipped with drop tables to let gravity do the heavy lifting Thompson Protocol. And we have our favorite tool, the Activator, to really help facilitate healing. If you are looking for the "neck strap adjustment", you might need to continue looking - light traction is what we do if necessary.
NEUROEMOTIONAL TECHNIQUE
Neuroemotional Technique (NET) is a STRESS reduction technique. And who doesn't like a little less stress in a very stressful world. This is a mind-body technique. It improves quality of life by reducing the stress load on your cells. NET helps with internal communication with your Mind & Body. Dr. Lio and Dr. Sasha are both level III certified in NeuroEmotional Technique.

*NET is NOT talk therapy.

FAQ
Do I need a referral from another doctor?
Short answer: no!
We are primary care physicians, which means you do not need a referral! If you’re already under chiropractic care, we’re happy to co-manage your health and focus on the services that will best support you, like NET or AK.
How often do I need to come in?
It depends on your unique situation!
Each care is tailored to your unique situation and type of care. You may need to come more often in the beginning, or you may be lucky and only need to see us once in a while.
Do you accept insurance?
We’re currently out-of-network with insurance providers but are happy to provide you with the documentation to submit for reimbursement if your plan covers out-of-network chiropractic care. We are currently not taking PI, workers comp, and auto accident cases.
Do I need to go to a chiropractor for life?
Not at all! While regular chiropractic care can definitely help keep your body in balance and functioning at its best, how long you choose to continue care is entirely up to you. Some people like to come in regularly for maintenance, while others come when they feel they need it. Our goal is to empower you to listen to your body and give it the care it needs, whether that’s ongoing or just occasional visits.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes! Chiropractic care is a safe and natural approach to health. We use gentle, precise techniques to help your body heal without invasive procedures or medications. If you ever have any concerns or questions during care, we’re here to talk them through with you.
Will I be cracked during my visit?
Not necessarily! While some adjustments involve a gentle “pop” or “crack” (which is just gas being released from the joints), we offer several techniques that don’t require it. We’ll choose the method that works best for your body and comfort level.
How soon will I feel better?
Everyone’s body responds differently, so it depends on your unique situation. Some people feel immediate relief after the first visit, while others need a few sessions to start noticing changes. We’ll work with you to track progress and adjust your care as needed!
What should I wear to my appointment?
You can wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. If we’re doing muscle testing or certain techniques, we might need access to certain areas, so loose-fitting clothes work best. No need to dress fancy—come as you are!
